Hi, Sanjaya from Sri Lanka

Hey,

Hi friends. It's me Sanjaya from Sri Lanka. In my country no one encouraged buying a Pentax camera. But I took the risk and decided to go for a Pentax camera. So I bought Pentax kx with 18-55mm and 55-200mm. Further I'm having a manual lens 28-80mm with macro. Hope the combination will do for me. I'm mainly in to nature photography. You need to be with me if I'm in any kinda trouble.

Is there any thing that I need to know about must do's in a kx ?

Thank you... !

what you have is a capable set for shooting
first thing would be to check the firmware version - hold menu button and turn the camera on
make sure you have the 1.01 version with battery indicator bug repaired
second thing - check the accurancy of autofocus

Hi and enjoy your K-x.
Consider a set of high power rated batteries (or two) for the best performance.

I have 1.02 version installed. I think that's okay. So far I didn't found any problem in auto focus. catch in focus also doing good for me. Can I use a copyright mark on my photos that I upload here?

Thank you for the response friend.

Hi Sanjana, I had the same experience when buying pentax k10D, DA 16-45, Quantaray 70-300 for pentax in Mumbai. We are travelling in the same boat. I am very happy with my kit. I am also into nature photography especially Macro photography. I am searching for a good macro (1:1) lens. Found a fogged 50mm AF Pentax lens. Gave it for checkup and cleaning. hope it comes out clean. Hope to hear from you.

[langtitle=es]Hola,Sanjaya de Sri Lanka[/langtitle]

Jorge.

if you want to post a thread, go to forum home in the drop-down menu on top-left, just choose the forum you want to start it in, , then there is NewThread black button on left
to post in thread - just type in the quick reply window on the bottom of the page, and if needed, use quoting
for multiple quots click on the notepad icon on the left of the Quote button
hope this helps

Hi! Sorry to bump, but can you please tell me where I might find Pentax cameras and equipment in Sri Lanka. As Sanjaya said Pentax isn't very popular in Sri Lanka.
