Hello here,

I am Jan from the Netherlands, already active at Pentaxforum.nl and Pentaxian.nl and since 1979 quite fond of Pentax.

I started in 1977 with Praktika LTL3, and in 1979 switched to Pentax Spotmatic, so that I was able to use my Panagor lenses. Then in 1997 I went to K-mount-stuff: MZ-10 and MZ-5n and I scored the SMC-M 4/20 and the SMC-K 1.8/85.
At the digital era I left Pentax and bought the Olympus C8080WZ but went back to Pentax in 2008! That really felt good, also to re-release my lenses from the cupboard.

I am designer (educated as an architect).
I am strongly convinced that the Pentax design has been and still is the best there is (except the first AF models like SFX an so on); the MZ-5 was again in line with Pentaxdesign, altough rather amouth of plastic, but again compact and functional
