I've done lots of lurking on the forum, just got back into SLR (now DSLR) photography with the purchase of a k100d and Pentax SMCP-FA 50mm f/1.4.

My 2nd digital camera was the Optio 550, the first 5MP "compact" camera. I was a little sad that Pentax seemed to have dropped the ball -- until now with the new line up of DSLRs!
I take tons of pics and look forward to getting my new Pentax gear soon (cross fingers!). I hope to post some pics soon.

Welcome to this interesting forum, and looking forward to seeing some pictures. I think you're going to love your new SLR, and that lens you picked is superb. The people on this forum are really great. I don't think you'll regret it for one minute.
