Hi from Birmingham UK

Hi Pentaxforum Users. I have just joined and am looking forward to reading and contributing to the Forum.

I have a K7 with a number of lenses and am seriously thinking of upgrading to a K5 - when I have saved up enough money.

My main interests are Landscape, Insects and Birds - and very recently my first Granddaughter.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum, John. Good luck with all the portraits of the little one.

Hi John,
I think I'm getting better - you can check my albums. The only shots I haven't posted are my family shots, and I have to admit that with two little grandsons, I have way more shots of them than anything else. For me, the problem with the little guys is how fast they move, so if I'm using my old 50/1.4 which is all manual, I have a little difficulty catching them. My 18-135 works well, and I can use exposure priority to get a quicker speed.
All-in-all, it's a work in progress.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you'll like the K-5. It has much the same feel as the K-7, with a number of functional tweaks that makes photography even more of a joy. The high ISO performance is a very decent improvement.
