Hola Pentax World

I'm excited to be a part of this forum. I've been taking pictures since I got my first Kodak camera at the age of 8. I loved the disposable cube flashes but the wait time to get the pictures back was unbearable. Also, I purchased a disk camera from Kodak and I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

Anyway, since then I've had a Nikon cheapo film camera, two digital Canon's with the flip screen that were pretty solid and sturdy.

Anyway, I decided to get into the realm of dSLR cameras and after a lot of research and comparative shopping with the T1i and the Nikon series, I found myself drawn to the Pentax for a few reasons.

First, I remember our high school newspaper and yearbook used a fleet of film cameras. I always thought it was cool how the photographers were allowed to interrupt classroom lessons in the name of putting together the annual. Also, I love the ability of the body to make use of older non-digital lenses. It seems this is a trait that separates the Pentax brand from the others.

Anyway, glad to be a part of it and excited to learn for anyone and everyone!

but as a side note - i also like that we can use old model lenses on the new dslrs. kinda nice! ;o) im new too - but welcome to the forum!
