dedicated pentax user

hi there I have had pentax cameras for years starting with an old spotmatic.
that doesn't mean I wouldn't consider another brand if the right model came up. when I considered getting the k5 I looked at nikon d7000 too but hated the kit lens that came with it, cheap and plasicky.
i like the k5 with the new 40 mm pancake lens, great for travelling as light as a dslr can!

That's the general attitude around here -- I think I can safely say we're Pentax users, not Pentax fanboys. Pentax hits the sweet spot on value, ergonomics, and a great (if sometimes limited) selection of lenses. So welcome to the forums!
