Oi from the Crazy Canuck

Hello to everybody!
Ever since I got my Pentax K100D in 2006, I was hooked! I already got a K20D but my K100D goes with me everywhere and everyday. A 28mm 2.8 is always plugged in to that K100D for everyday random shots and it`s been fun this past 5 years. My K100D is all beat up, it goes with me on bike trails, diving, white river rafting, tubing, and snow shoeing! It fell in deep snow last winter and the viewfinder is a bit cloudy now, but everything still works. The back LCD looks like it`s separating from the body, but it still works! I do hope we have more fun times ahead. As for the K20D...all it does is work, work, work...yeah, only for serious work shooting. It`s probably all jealous with the K100D going with me at every vacation
So my only question now is...why didn`t I join this forum a long time ago? Now I have to do a lot of catching up

Welcome aboard! What took you so long? I waited a whole month after I got my K20D before joining. Being here is a very rewarding experience. As for your K100D's LCD screen -- have you tried superglue?

CHKSH
Greetings,

You'll find quite a few fellow Canucks here as well as Pentax fans from around the world.

The nice thing about this place is that everyone treats everyone nicely and you can have a lively debate with some opposing views but stay friends. Just the way the world should be.

Thanks for the welcome guys

Hey RioRico, it's actually not separating from the outside, but more like it's falling inside
it's a bit hard to describe in words so I guess I just have to take a photo (wow good use for a camera )
Here's how it looks like

This happened after I went white river tubing this summer at Elora Gorge. Camera was encased in a Dicapac case but at the end of the day I saw this gap on the LCD
I hope this is nothing serious.

Hey mtansley,
Yey True North Strong & Free!
I only found this site as I was trying to solve a Pentax Remote Assistant problem. Yes, a good place for Pentaxians

...I can't get enough of that sound
