Hi from Walled Lake, MI

Hi guys,

New to the site and at this time still looking into a Pentax for my first dslr.
My current slr that I have not used for some time (few years) is a Canon A1 that I bought back around
1978…..time flies.
I like what I read on this site and from tests and info. I have found on the web a used Pentax will be my first dslr!
Just out of interest, does anybody know of any dealers that has Pentax in stock near Walled Lake, Mi.
As I have been to local new and used dealers but no Pentax cameras.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you on board. I can't answer your questions as I don't come from your area but would suggest that you ask them in the Pentax Beginners Corner as I'm sure you'll get more answers there!

Welcome! If you decide on Pentax, you will find this site an endless source of information... at least I have.

As for Pentax dealers near you... good luck! I called everywhere in the "lakes" area and beyond and wound up buying my Kr online. I have not been disappointed and my neighbor has since bought a Kr as well!

Camera Mart over on Telegraph carries some used Pentax lenses but I don't know if they have any bodies. I know they don't carry new (or at least they didn't in the spring).

In any case, welcome aboard!
