Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.

Been reading up on a lot of interesting topics on the PENTAX Forums without posting (until now).
There's some really helpful information (and advice) here for a learner like me.

Used to take all of my photos with a compact before discovering photography as a hobby about a year ago. Had lots of fun experimenting with my Dad's film SLR, but have decided the advantages of shooting in digital are too powerful to resist. Just picked up a used K200D in fairly good condition. Going to borrow Dad's lenses and work out which best suit my needs before I buy any myself.

Should have some photos to share in the not too distant future.

I had noticed there seem to be a lot of Australians hanging around here.

Maybe aussies have a thing for Pentax.

Gudday mate. Wellcome aboard old china. There are a few of us bludgers hangin' around the Forum, just to educate the rest of the world mind. I'm just a tad NW of Melbourne.
