hello all. new to digital slr, but long time pentax slr. have used a Super Program since 1984 and have built up to a normal mix of 7 -A lenses (2 zooms, and 5 primes). Did the point and shoot thing for a couple of iterations (went through so many they were like disposables) over past few years, and last week bought a red k-r with the 18-55 kit lens while on vacation in NY. photo is 100% hobby - all family or personal travel related. really didn't consider any other brand, wanted to get back into my real lenses, so it was a choice of which pentax digital body. so far, love the k-r with 35-70 -A. been surfing this forum for -f and -fa advice as well as flash recommendations ( i have an af 280t - so trying to assess whether pre-flash-ttl is worth it...i had a lot of good results with original ttl on the SP). also been reading posts related to the katz eye split screen - never even knew that type of mod was available. looking forward to learning from, and participating in the forums.
