Virgin SLR and Pentax user

Hi There from Ottawa.
Had a few friends with SLR's and my point and shoot just didn't satisfy me anymore so I took the leap to a K10D (granted a BIG leap). Did a lot of research and Pentax came out on top. Having fun and figuring things out and can't wait until I'm completely out of the green. Tips are always welcome!

Welcome and congratulations on your new camera. Tips, hmmm...lets see...read the manual and shoot a lot. I think the best place to start is green or P mode just to get a feel for how the camera handles scenes and your specific subjects. You have a great camera and I'm sure you'll love it.

Welcome to the forum SoccerNut. There is at least one other Ottawa resident here and plenty of Senators.
