Greetings to all

Brand new K1000 owner. Wanted a change from my NIkons and digital slr and this seemed like a good camera to do that. Looking forward to participating in the forum!

Welcome
The K1000 is a great basic camera. I still use mine. Had it over 30 years.

Good to have you here.
The K1000 just goes on and on. Just like classic Pentax/Takumar glass.
Welcome and enjoy the forum.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I agree about the K1000 Sometimes I like to leave all the high tech alone and just do photography. I suspect I am not the only one who feels that way. Have a great day

Welcome from vertical California! I should take my K1000 out more. I'll admit that when I want to burn 135 film (ie just do photography) I'm more likely to:

* Use the Praktica LX3 with its waist-level finder, and a wide lens
* Throw a cart into a 6x9 folder, for sprocket-hole panos
* Pull the Olympus XA out of my trouser pocket

Now I just need to rebuild my darkroom...

Cheers!
