Hello

Hey everyone!

I just bought my first digital SLR a Pentax K100d with the kit lens, and I just ordered the Pentax SMCP-FA 50mm f/1.4 and the Pentax SMCP-DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED

A good deal of money for a short time, but as my mom says, "You only live once." Oh and I got the Lacrosse battery charger from Amazon, that should be here any day now. So the only thing I'm still looking to buy is an extra sd card (I already have the Sandisk Ultra II 2gb), a tripod, and a good case/bag/sling.

I can't wait to start learning and taking pictures and posting!

Thanks! I'm already excited about the camera now I'm even more excited about the two lenses that are coming. I haven't updated the firmware yet. Do you think I should do that asap? Or does it really not matter?

I'm about to go out now so I can shoot some pics. I took a temp job at the amazon warehouse so I could buy this

I updated it right away, but I'm not sure it matters. Just make sure the battery is fully charged before you do it. I hear that if the battery dies in the middle of updating it is really bad. I didn't charge the batteries and barely made it!
