Sooo this is my first DSLR (Pentax k-x, white, standard lens) and I'm barely getting around to messing with the different settings. Granted theyre all in foriegn language to me still but I tend to build on my lack of DSLR knowledge. We'll see. Is there any places or videos on here or any other site where I can get some free schooling on this thing??

Welcome aboard, You will find some very nice folks here, all very helpful. Keep one thing in mind, the only dumb question you have is the one you don't ask. We all had to start at the beginning. Start at the Pentax Beginners Corner Q & A , lots of good answers to go with beginner/novice question. Shoot and enjoy!!!!!!!! Cliff

OK, good luck! And welcome. It took me a second to translate IE as Inland Empire. So you're around Riverside-Yucaipa-Hemet somewhere? (I'm 3rd-generation Pomona but I've been gone a LONG time.) Stupendously photogenic terrain there! I grew up shooting it with a Brownie. We look forward to seeing your shots. And again, good luck!

Yessir, San Jac and Temecula area. I'll be taking pics from Idyllwild to Temecula wineries soon enough. Thanks, I'll keep you guys posted.
