As a Pentaxian for over 30 years and observing this site for a while, I finaly decided to join the forum. Like many I enjoy new lenses, primes in particular. I believe you can never have enough good lenses. My first Pentax was an ME Super with 40mm pancake lens to start. I had several G series Canon compacts before buying my K10d DSLR. I have upgraded several times and currently have a K5 and K200d for backup. As my name infers, I shoot a lot with primes, especialy my 15,40,70 limiteds and F501.7. I do own a few zooms and use them when I get lazy. But if IQ is the goal, you cannot beat a prime.

I would describe myself as an experienced enthusiast. While lurking in the forums, I find the the eclectic posts interesting. Personally, I enjoy being a commited Pentaxian and I love my K5. The K5 plus 40mm LTD are frequently noticed by passing Canikons that are nursing their sore shoulders from the excess weight and thinner wallets.

I look forward to contributing my 2 cents (Canadian) to the forum.

Welcome! It's a joy to use prime lenses, including those good old M and K lenses from the past!

Welcome aboard! The more the merrier!

I have loved my K-x, and it sounds like there's a K-3 coming in 2012.

Thanks for the welcome, I have been observing the site for a number of months and decided to join. The discussions have been interesting although I believe some contributors over do it on the negative. All electronic devices have the potential for problems due to their complexity and in my experience Pentax issues are not unique.

Rhe that is a good lineup that you have. I had the 21 at one time but sold it to a friend in New Brunswick. I find I use the 15 more and crop it although I expect I will own the 21 again. It is a great lens.
