Hi all,
Joined group last week but only just getting round to introducing myself. I've had Pentax Cameras for years (back to 1970s) I've got a SP1000, K2, LX, Mz-m, K10D and have just bought a K5 which is brilliant.

I was originally introduced to photography when I went to evening classes run by an army photographer in Cyprus while I was in my early teens. I think photography is in my blood as my mother and father met when they worked for Kodak in Harrow back in the 40s. I used to be really into club photography and involved with the Gravesend Camera Club back in the 70s & early 80s. Done quite a bit of wedding photography over the years too. I now take mainly photos of my dogs which are very photogenic. When I get time I'll post some up.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you here.
Enjoy your new K-5 - it should give you years of photographic enjoyment.

Thanks Ash. Loving the K5 but think it will take some time to master everything it can do. One improvement I would love to see is the neck strap fixing. On my old LX you could attach the strap to the lower part of the body and that enabled the camera to lie flush with your body - great when using a long lens and not have to walk around with a big lens protruding outward. (and so much better when walking the dogs)

welcome to the forum, nice looking dog.

for the strap you might look at Black Rapid straps. I'm pretty certain there is a configuration that will cover your needs

BlackRapid.com >> Creators of the R-Strap, the original camera sling.
