Hey,
Got the 600mm Pentax-A lens back and had taken it to a repair shop for cleaning. Cam-Tec here in Bend OR. After cleaning, I talked with the tech and she gave the Pentax-A 600mm a clean bill of health. I then described the situation of selling the lens , the buyers dissatisfaction of the the higher level of CA in the pictures that the Digital camera that was used showed, the buyers complaints of not being able to "clean up" the purple fringing with Photoshop lighthouse and lens's eventual return. She said: "Its a film camera lens, on digital cameras there is a higher Chromatic Abberations level. Expect that." unquote.
At any rate, I have the lens back. If anyone is interested in the SMC Pentax-A 600mm ED (if) lens with hood and case, prepared and able to deal with the "CA", I'm selling at $2300.00. Paypal is good. I have not taken any digital photo's myself with the lens. I think some of the pictures are still up but I can send you some if you need them. I'm putting this on eBay in a couple days if I don't get a confirmed sale here so please let me know, thanks!

Trigger, I suggest you place an ad in the marketplace. You'll get more traction there, and frankly, I expect it'll sell quick.

Hey, got the 600mm back from the purchaser who was unable to, with his Photoshop Lighthouse, to remove the CA. Packaging looked good till I got to open the case. Found packing peanuts inside and not the soft closed cell foam layers I wrapped the lens with. Also, peanuts...., well take a look. I will have to find something I can take them out with. Question: could these peanuts scratch the lens here?
I doubt the bits are hard enough to damage the lens surface, then again, the rubbing from the vibrations in shipping might. (hard to say).
