Welcome to the forum. I'd love to speculate on a 67 digital back (but highly doubt it would happen, more likely would be a 67D body but that size sensor is a few years off and I could see mamiya getting into it first through Phase

Yes, you may be right, but it'a shame that no effords are undertaken to investigate the possibilities. Of course - as someone mentioned earlier - it's not only the digital back with a 6x7 sensor that causes problems, but also the manual controls/lenses that should be updated,which is virtually impossible. But then: there are so many 67's, 6x7's around, there must be some development for this beautiful camerasystem?
