I have a Metz 48 AF-1, which I understand is now superseded by the 50 AF-1. I bought it in preference to the Pentax AF-360, largely because of price and the fact that it has a swivel as well as tilt head, which is invaluable if you're shooting handheld in both formats (portrait as well as landscape orientation).
The current Metz is one of a long line of their flashes that have been on my various Pentaxes over the years, all of which I've found to be functional, well-built and consistent. I've used it on the K20D and the K-5, with no issues.
