New from Vancouver

I just discovered this forum the other day. I have been a long time Pentax MX (35mm) owner since the late 1970's. I put the camera away about 7 years ago when digital first came out and became affordable and film got expensive due to its unpopularity. Last week I made the plunge to get back into photography and make use of my old lenses. I bought the K-5 and I am absolutely pleased with it!

Wecome "Home", Peter!

I'm sure you will find lots of good information on this excellent website.

You will also have to watch for sudden LBA virus infections !

Jokes apart, this is THE very best Pentax related forum on the planet ... believe me, I have visited some others and this one comes No. 1.

Your new K5 will no doubt give you a revival in photography.

Cheers.

Don't know if you are a football fan, but congrats to the BC Lions for their win at the Grey Cup finals!

This would have been a great place to catch a few interesting pics too.

Welcome to the forum, and your K-5. I think you'll really enjoy both.

I watched the game at home. Actually, I was thinking at the time it would have been nice to photograph some action! I took pictures of the Lions when I used film, but found that even with a 300mm and fast film, the results weren't that good. Mostly because of the poor vantage point and slower shutter speed. Thank you for the welcome!
