Hello from Logical Dude in Canada

I saw a chart at this site with suggested resolutions for scanning a 8x10 or 4x6 prints. and what resolutions it will yeild when enlarged to certain sizes. Is there a similar chart available for 35 mm negatives or slides. Will be greatly appreciated.

A 35mm negative is ~1" x 1.5", and you need a final resolution of ~300 DPI to make a clean print.
I don't know if there is any charts in existence, but doing the math from the starting point above will put you in the range.
Some of what you need to do will be printer dependent. For example, Fuji Fronteir prints at 300 DPI, but Noritsu prints at 320, and Epson inkjets are 360.
So, you will need to adjust your resolution to match the output of the device if you don't want interpolation.
Generally, you would be scanning the negative at your scanner's maximum native resolution and then resizing a copy of that file to the size needed for printing.
