new to pentax from Loveland

Hi All: Want to say hello and to say we will be talking. I live in Loveland Co and enjoy nature and wildlife photography. Living next to Rocky Mountain National Park gives me great opportunity to shoot and have fun. I also have several astro-telescopes and mounts and enjoy astro photography. I have been a long time Olympus user but with all the trouble they are having in corporate I'm moving up to Pentax.
Just bought a pentax K5,18-55mm wr and a pentax 55-300mm lens also a 0-gps1 module. I've heard great things about the low noise in low light and high iso ability.
I wish there was more and better software control with the camera to computer available. better wireless remote control besides the IR that is presently in the stores. Why can't pentax provide something like PK+tether. It does work (has Bugs) so why do they continue to say that it is impossible for there engineers to write this software. That is one thing Oly got right.
Well hello again and I'm sure I will be enjoying my pentax equipment and learning about its ins and outs from the ladies and gentlemen on this form.
Hank

Hopefully the next series of DSLRs will support tethering natively, just like the K20D and K10D did 2 generations ago. I'm sure it's just a question of resources and priorities...
