Neil

Hi all,
I have recently updated my Pentax to a K7 and retained Sigma lenses 28-200 and 70-300.
Questions?
1 Is an Achiever 630AF dedicate auto focus compatible with the K7.
2. If the flash is compatable will it operate with both lenses?
3. Is there a DVD/Book or digital photography for dummies?

I look forward to your reply,
Cheers
Neil

Welcome Neil.
The Achiever flash will only be good for A flash capability, not TTL. Check to see it is safe to use on the K-7 using the trigger voltage tables online for flash units.
The lenses are fine - the only limiting factor is the flash. If not P-TTL, then it will only be A or M compatible.
Read through the articles linked on this thread for starters, then consider buying Understanding Exposure by Brian Peterson.

Welcome aboard. What Ash said is critical. Old flashes can be dangerous to new digital SLRs because of the difference in voltage between the old mechanical cameras and the new electronic ones. Don't let anything happen to your new K7!
