Introduction member

Hello to everybody in this forum.
I'm new here.
I bought 1 week ago a Pentax K-r camera.
Some good years ago (10 I think) I was extremely passionate for photography.
I have been using a Zenith camera. For the University I've been stopped with photography.
Well the years passed, and few years ago my family get bigger.
A beautiful daughter has been born.
First i bought a P&S camera - Nikon Coolpix S220.
I wasn't satisfied with the photo's quality, even with her 20 megapixels & ISO 2000

So I was looking for a budget camera, but also not a totally beginner camera.
So after 1 week of searching on internet the Pentax come to my attention.
At this moment I'm pleased (more than that, actually) with this one.
I bought it with a Pentax smc DAL 18-55mm lens.
It's a all-round lens not bad at all.
I still must work myself on aperture, shutter speed, contrast, etc.
This camera has an "Auto Pict" mode so I don't have to do anything to set in one or another way the camera.
She is doing everything for me.
Thank you people for your patience to read my introduction (or not)...
