Hello to all from rainy Washington State. More of an expectant father than a true Pentaxian as I am still looking to purchase my first Pentax DSLR. I was all set on the K-r until they flew off the shelves recently. Maybe that's enough of a rationale to pursue a K-7 or K-5...

Welcome! You should still be able to pick up a K-r if you look hard enough, but there are some pretty slick deals on the K-5 on amazon at the moment so you should be able to score one for under $1100!
