Hello Everybody, and a Happy Holiday and a Joyous New Year to you !
One of my old friends from College gave me his Mint Honeywell-Pentax H3v Camera and I wanted to join the Pentax forum and say hello and introduce myself.
I have been a photographer for about 6 years and mostly shoot medium format with a Mamiya RB67, but as a gift my college friend Mike, gave me mint condition H3v. I am guessing it's from about 1962. I disassembled the lens and gave it a thorough clean out, and the shutter is firing perfectly at all speeds. I have loaded it with some Tri-x 400 and am out and about shooting, and putting the 50mm f2 through it's paces.
With no meter inside it, I am using my iPhone to measure the light with the "Pocket Light Meter" by Nuwaste Studios, in the Apple App store.
There are others like "FotoMeterPro" also in the App store.
Other phones have light meters as well.
I started a Flickr group for rhe Honeywell-Pentax H3v series. If you have one and have scans please join and start posting your scans.
