Hey all!
Just joined the Pentax world yesterday! After literally months reading reviews and user reports on the Canon 7d and 60d, I randomly stumbled across a review of the K5. The same night, I went to a camera store and handled all three. As soon as I flipped to M and played around the the controls, I knew it was the right choice. It seems so intuitive to use (especially compared the the button-masher 60d). Very well thought out.
I had been using a Canon S90 for the past year and a half as my entry-point to photography. I didn't want to jump into photography and get caught up in the technicalities of it, so I started small. Since the S90 shoots in full manual mode and in RAW, it's the perfect camera for the serious beginner IMO. Now that I feel I've caught up to it's limits, I moved on. The Pentax K5 was my choice. I can't want to start shooting with it.
