Greetings from Finland

Hi Everyone and thanks for the great site!
Joined the pentax-club few weeks ago by purchasing K-5 and 18-135. Feels very good system (quality and ergonomics).
Have photographed previously with Olympus OM-system, from which I have bunch of equipment (almost 10 lenses). Dunno if they should be utilized with Pentax or not. propably not, it might be better to keep the old system as it is.

Would be interested in learning more from portrait and wildlife shooting, to which I'm also looking for best lenses. Currently i'm thinking of getting Pentax 50/f1.4 for portraits and Tamron 70-200/2.8 for wildlife - comments are welcome.

Welcome! The 50mm should work just fine for portraits, another good lens would be the FA77mm or the Sigma 85mm:

Welcome! Another portrait lens to consider might be the Samyang 85mm 1:1.4 (fully manual, but available new and inexpensive).

thanks for your comments and welcomes - I'll start (or probably continue) the lens debate on lens threads.

made difficult choice and ordered LTD glass, namely 40/2.8 and 70/2.4. Cannot wait to get'em.
all in all, I did not get any further away from primes when stepping from OM to pentax, but just love the well built lenses like ZUIKO's were. and now there's no complaining with image quality and bad lenses, its all up to the shooter.
