Hi, I'm a new member. I've been using Pentax cameras and lenses for many years and have joined this forum to gain additional insights in the uses of this equipment. I was, at first, reluctant to use a digital camera since I thought that it was "cheating" to turn a bad photo into a good one by electronic manipulation. However, the ability to produce better photos and to print them out immediately won me over. I use a Mac computer and find that iPhoto is more than adequate from processing photos and producing DVD slide shows with music. I have not yet used Pentax software or Photoshop to process my images and won't until somebody convinces me that I should.

I collect Pentax cameras and other old cameras and lenses. The cameras are usually 35 mm or 21/4 square film cameras which I love because of their mechanical perfection.

I look forward to joining in discussions in this forum.
