Still not there yet

Howdy, y'all! Wannabe pentaxian here. The name's Dan, and I live in Bucharest, Romania. I don't own a DSLR yet (no matter how much I'd like to lie about it), but I am a firm believer in the K-series line of cameras, and my biggest wish would to have a K10D, a D FA 100mm Macro, and as many Limited lenses as I can get my hands on. I have been a Pentax fan ever since dad bought a Pentax Optio S bakc when they were... stil made.

I'd like to consider myself being above the "über n00b" status, as I have been into photography for 3 years now, and really seriously into it for the past year. Though, I'm sure I'll have lots to learn from this forum.

I shoot film. In permanently metered manual mode. I have a camera with no automations, and what I consider to be the best learning tool ever - the M42x1 equivalent of the iconic K1000 (which I want) - a Praktica MTL5. And a Praktica LTL3. And a Zenit E. They're very easy to come by, here in Romania. And they're good work horses. I've recently had them inspected and re-adjusted, so hopefully they'll keep me happy until the K[insert two digit number here]D arrives in the summer.

I agree. My time spent lurking on this forum has led me to believe that there is a far higher degree of maturity than on any other forums.
