Hello!

New to Pentax and, well, to photogragy altogether. I recently purchased a K5, DA 18-135, DA 55-300, and a AF-540. I decided to go with that set up after reading TONS of posts on this forum as well as reviews on a lot of other sites. Hopefully I'll have enough knowledge to contribute and influence another's purchase someday. Until then, I'll be the guy lurking and learning from y'all!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I already find myself reading (and re-reading, and re-reading) the dozens of posts encouraging newbies to just use one lense and learn the camera and photography before running off and buying a ton of lenses that they don't even know how to use. I read an article in Shutterbug or DPP and they talk about how important a certain lense is, and then I find myself on the net learning about (and ultimately pricing) that lense or a similar K-mount. I also have a wish list of several lenses that (for some reason or other) I feel like I should have in my kit. That list is over $5500, which as you know, is a lot of Pentax lenses!!!

So, the vote of confidence is much appreciated and will certainly help me be more patient.

Welcome to the forum. Those two lenses were my first ones as well. Yes, LBA grabbed me, and I have a few more now.
