New to Pentax

Hello everyone, I'm not only new to this site, but also to Pentax brand. I was shooting with Canon for a number of years. But decided that I want something more ragged and with better low light then my Canon 60d, so I got myself k-5. So far I like it, a lot. Just need to pick some decent lenses for indoor shooting. I love taking pictures if my kids.

Any recommendations for indoor, low light, fast moving subjects?

Get the fastest lenses you can afford, 1.8 and faster if avilable. You can also use additional lighting (off camera flash works best), this has the added bonus that you can stop down your lenses and increase DOF so you have a larger "in focus" area in case the AF can't quite keep up.

for indoor shooting, I like to have a lens wider than 50mm. My Sigma 24 1.8 has been a great lens for me, but it is much bigger than Pentax primes which tend to be more compact and lighter. One inexpensive choice that many people have liked is the Pentax 35 f2.4. It focuses fast and has very good picture quality.
