Newbie dont throw things at me...

Hello,

Names Stephen (Steve) decided to register with the forum as I am after a little advice on a Pentax camera, still relatively new to the digital market.

Hi Steve,
Welcome, around here there's no such thing as a trivial question.

You might want to do some searching around here for the answer to your question in case anyone else has already asked it.

What is your question anyway, if you can't find the answer.

Ha thanks, Im looking at a K-r as a “upgraded” into the DLSR world from a G1, im still fighting as I miss my 35mm’s, and also a avenue to replace my no MAC friendly Camcorder, Iv posted a question, as I want to comparer it to videos I have taken on my solutions, if the mods approve is should appear.

Cheers, Steve

If you're an old-school SLR guy (familiar with manual settings) then go for the K7 or K5 etc. You'll appreciate the dual-wheel flexibility.

I still shoot film and bought a K-r last spring, It is great. Terry is right that the dual wheels is better (wife has a K10D and I still use a Nikon D200) however the single wheel is not that bad either. I shoot mostly manual and do use one manual focusing lens.

Thanks for the Advice, I dont think I can quite stretch to the K7 or 5, looking at the Dual lens K-r kit.

Cheers Steve
