Hi Everyone,

very happy for joining this forum, i hope i can get a lot of very usefull information about Pentax DSLR as i'm totally new in DSLR ( beginner of beginner beginner )

i'm also kind of "cheapskate", i got brand new Pentax K-X + Pentax 18-55 kit with 3 years warranty from BIG W for A$ 400

i know my K-X is not the "Mercedes or BMW or what ever in the top"
i also buy a used lens from market at "really cheap price" in my opinion, sigma 28-80 f3.5-5.6 ii macro aspherical and sigma 100-300 f 4.5-6.7 DL + accessories filter ( uv + cpl + stacked closed up , Arrow brand ) for A$ 50 ( 2 lenses for A$ 50!! )

just test the 28-80 macro this afternoon, and here are 2 photos for shared

Welcome to the collective. wmf? I do not consider you as being a cheapskate, but only as being thrifty or frugal. With you equipment you are off to a good start. Shoot frequently and post often...Cliff

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for posting the photos. Chevys and VW's get you there too. Love my K-5, but I also really like my K-x.

Welcome here mate. Enjoy what the K-x has to offer - I still have one and it does the job just fine.
