Hello everyone! Greetings from sunny Wollongong, NSW, Australia.
Been reading up and learning a lot from this great website.

I started last year with a Pentax Kr. Love the Sigma 30mm f1.4

Been shooting animals, bird, and the occasional stranger on the streets.
Have not been arrested yet.

Welcome mate, from not-so-sunny Newcastle.
So you like the Sigma 30, eh? I'm trying to decide between one of those or a Samyang 85mm f1.4.
Look forward to seeing some of those 30mm street shots.

Hi Sam,

Well it was sunny until yesterday evening when the skies opened up. But I am an optimist.

I find at times that I wish I had a bit more reach when I shoot with the 30mm. Quite a number of my street shots are cropped as a result. But the centre sharpness of the 30mm preserved what I really wanted. A photojournalist once told me that its better to have an image that you can crop later than to wish you had a wider lens at the time.
