Hello forum,

DSLR newbie here wanting to say hi - I recently purchased a K-r to suppliment my Panasonic LX5.

I'm trying to take my time getting to know the lenses I got with my camera and not rush out to buy everything I see but it's really hard! It's funny how I never needed another lens for my LX5, putting up with a 24-90mm f2.0 for the last year but now that I have a shiney new DSLR I seem to want a couple of manual primes, an FA/DA prime, a constant zoom etc. This is going to be an expensive trip but I'm looking forward to it.

It needn't be an expensive trip. There are a heck of a lot of second hand lenses out there.
Have fun with that K-r, it's a really neat camera
