Hello,

Brand new here and just wanted to say hello. I boughy my first digital camera yesterdy -- a Pentax K10D with kit 18-55 lens. A whole new world from the film cameras I've used in the past.

Curious, but can anyone recommend some default settings I should use with this camera, for general, everyday use? I set saturation, contract and color to +1, but I'm not sure this is what I need to go with.

Still reading the manual and trying to understand all the controls and capabilities this camera offers.

Incidentally, I really, really liked the size of the K100D Super, but decided the K10D was the better camera for me. It is so solid and substantial feeling, and quite a bit larger than the film camera I've used for the past several years.

Welcome!
When I shoot jpg, I have saturation at 0, sharpness and contrast at +2. And image tone at neutral.
