Hi

I've been visiting this site for a few weeks now and I find it very informative. I just purchased a K5, upgrading from a Nikon D60. I am loving it. I love the fact that I can use any Pentax lens made. I still had buried in a closet, an old screww mount 50mm f1.4 Pentax lens from my original spotmatic camera, purchased around '73. Very cool.

Welcome

Bonjour,

Hope you enjoy your K-5 as much as I do ... as for M42, find a Pentax OEM adaptor in order to use your 50mm. They're really worth it ... you keep infinity and really easy to install and remove.

Salut, John le Frog

Thank you all. I am enjoying the K5 and wish I had more time to just go out and shoot. I hope to post some photos soon. As for the OEM adapter, i bought one immediately. It works great and I highly recommend it for using any M42 lens.
