New photographer

Hi,

I've never owned my own camera before but took the plunge last year and bought a k-r based on comparisons of features with other brands of the same price.

I took it with me on an overseas trip recently and enjoyed using it with the kit lens.

I'm still very new at photography and haven't had a lot of time to learn it but I hope to improve eventually.

Cheers

Welcome and great choice of camera. the K-r is a very good camera at it's price point. There's a LOT of information and knowledgeable people around here, drop any questions and I'm sure you'll get pretty fast responses!

Welcome

Bonjour,

I had a K110D for 4 years, then I bought a K-r, too, in January of last year. A great DSLR, that my wife has now ... Then I got bitten by the GAS/LBA bug and procured a used K-7 for myself to later sell it for a new K-5.

My point? Thanks to this great forum, I have ramped up fairly quickly and really enjoying much more my (our) DSLRs. Ask questions and do not be shy. Welcome.

Salut, John le Frog

Welcome to the herd. I have taken pictures with a 35 and recently with a DSLR; not quite ready to be called a photographer but I enjoy it all the same and that is what it it is really all about..

Don't be shy, share some of yours.
