Hello from Kernersville, NC. Been looking around on here for the past severals days while I was waiting for my new toy to arrive. Lots of really good stuff here. I'm glad I found this site.

Well, it came today. I'm really glad I decided to stay with Pentax. For a brief fleeting moment, I thought about straying but decided that I couldn't do it. I cut my teeth on Pentax K-mount gear and can't turn my back now. Besides, the Canon and Nikon offerings seemed much more like toys to me than real cameras/photo gear. So far I'm happy with my choice (at least for the five or so hours I've had it).

I'm sure I'll be posting questions soon. Already running into battery issues. (More a product of a worn-out charger than batteries or camera at this point.) I'll get it figured out. Now off to explore some more.

--by the way...I've been a little blown away by the picture quality of this thing. I knew it was gonna be good...but WOW!

Dennis, welcome aboard. You are going to love this site as there are so many dedicated Pentax and some multiple brand users here with a wealth of knowledge. Most of the time reading posts answers questions before you even ask them.
