Hi from Auburn, WA

Hey everybody. Just saying hi. I'm probably going to pull the plug on the K-01 shortly. I got started in photo with a K1000 in 1981. Camera still has a roll of film in it... I'm just a hobby photographer, shooting things I like to shoot. I've had several point and shoot digitals, but I really wanted something that I could use my old lenses with. I think the K-01 will do everything I want it to.

Cheers!

Steve

Ha, that was when I lived there. A few years behind you, I went to Sterling. What a great place for a kid to grow up.

How's the Windmill restaurant doing out in Wenatchee? I love that place. The raspberry cream pie is incredible.

I have not been to the Windmill in 15 years. I was never that impressed with it and the cost, for me just never came close to what I received. My wife is from Texas and if you have ever been there and had a steak, you will never think anything is any good but there. An $8 steak in Texas will beat a $40 steak anywhere here, everytime, IMHO. But the Windmill is still there going strong.

You've got me pretty hungry for a steak, now...

Anyway, welcome to the forums, Steve. Sorry for getting us sidetracked here... I'm also a hobbyist, just shooting things I like to shoot. Sometimes I just like to hear the shutter rather than what I'm taking a photo of.
