Hi from Italy

Hallo folks!

I'm Flavio from Italy and I'm always have been a pentax user with the old Pentax ME Super and the MX and a couple of -M glasses. Now i'm thinking about upgrading to digital by purchasing a K-5 and that is the reason why i joined this forum.

Welcome to the forum. If you do purchase a K-5 I am sure you will really enjoy using it. The image quality is stunning, and the camera is very easy and intuitive to learn and use.

Thank you both for the welcoming.

About the K-5 it looks just the perfect fit for me.

My only worries about pulling the trigger on the amazon cart is that i fear they release a much better new one for the same price with more manual video. :P

And still i can't understand if an old A lense works just like any other new digital lenses (with the sole exception of the manual focus of course) or if it has some other limitation. Long story short, i want to manually change diafram and shutter speed (but sometimes i want to use diafram priority), without having to use the stop-down technique and having in the viewfinder all the information. Will I be able to do that with an A lense?
