Hello from Tallinn

Couple of weeks ago I bought my first DSLR, the K-r and so far I'm extremely happy with it.

Naturally I considered also Canon and Nikon but what dipped the scale for me was Pentax's in-camera shake reduction system, IQ in low light and of course the price tag. Backwards compatibility with older lenses was a bonus.

So right off the bat I ordered an M42 adapter, AA battery adapter, and an IR remote (which is yet to arrive). Right now I have a bid on M42 macro extension bellows so fingers crossed! I think photos from my old Zenit's Helios 44M look awesome, too bad that the adapter's thread is exactly 180 degrees off and lens is on upside down.

Welcome to the forum piltnik.

I will be visiting your beautiful city for one day in June this year as part of a conference tour from Helsinki.

I am really looking forward to using my K-5 to capture what your city has to show. This trip to Northern Europe is one of the reasons I brought the K-5 :-).

Enjoy the K-r, and using the old lenses.

Welcome I visited Tallinn just after Christmas last year. Beautiful city, even in the on again off again rain. I hope to visit again soon!
