Pentaxian beginner

Hi,
Im Pierre from Begium joining now the big community of Pentaxian members!
My digital experiences lead me here after using D40,A200,D7000,D5100,400D,450D,550D and NX100 camera bodies.
I still use my wonderful NX100 which share the same K20 sensor created by both Samsung & Pentax industry.
Now i decided to sell my 550D for a brand new K5 i will receive soon.
It s a great joy to become a K5 user after some hesitation to go on with Canon.

Welcome to the site, swapping a 550D for a K-5 is a great move in my book. Shame you don't have one of the older Samsung models, else you could share lenses between the two.

Random question for you though; So far, what's your favorite, and least favorite features since you've switched?

i was not satisfied with Canon specially about AF and white balance.
Pentax gives more accuracy in image processing and the body construction is amazing! Even D7000 is not so complete!
i received it today and i start to learn it.
I will add my first pictures on my Flickr page soon!

Thx Ross!
I just start to discover some sides of the great K5 potential.
The body has a perfect handle and its compact size is perfect for me.
I like specially the great noise processing -better for me than D7000.
I found a prime lens (Pentax 50mm 1.7) and a Pentax 55-300mm for portrait & animals close-up!

I also have the 55-300, which is a very nice lens. I am sure you will enjoy using it

I have my K-5 for a month now, I already have some great images from it, but I have only just scratched the surface of what it is capable of....
