G'day from Melbourne!

Hello there everyone!

My name is Harley, I'm currently 17 and am in my 2nd year of a panel beating apprenticeship

Some of my interests include anything to do with cars, rc cars, drawing, photography and games.

I've been taking photos for a few years now with a 'point n shoot' and my phone, but I'm looking to step it up another level now.

I've got my eyes on a Pentax K100D DSLR with 2 lenses and some basic accessories for $250AUD. What would you all think of that as a starting DSLR camera? Any other suggestions, feedback and ideas will be much appreciated and considered. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I started off with the Pentax K200D then out grew that and bought the K20D and now I have two K-5's with a few lenses.

Welcome to the forums from an old panel beater I started digital with a *istDL, similar to the 100D. It still serves me well after 5 years of shooting I also still enjoy the use of it . I think you will be able to learn a lot with that camera.
