Well, I don't often get time to do "serious" photography, but when I do, I like to play with my k1000.

I've mostly been playing with digital for the past couple of years with my Canon 350d, but wanted to start up with film again. I know enough about computers to know that permanent storage is anything but, so in addition to the RAID server and the backups, I thought it would be a good idea to capture at least some of these memories to a medium with a track record longer than a couple of years.

Found these forums trying to learn a little more about my camera, so I joined up to add it to the database.

Hi, I'm Cora from RI
My main concern right now is proper storage for my very old Pentax K 1000, my tow lenses & accessories.It is currently in a padded, possibly moisture proof, "Promaster" camera bag. The area where I store it is above a baseboard heating system. Since I don't use my air conditioning very much , there is also humidity. I've thought of putting silica in the bag, but don't know where to purchase it. Any suggestions?
