Hi everyone,
This is my first post and I would like thank for all the good information I found here.

I am from Argentina and yesterday I got my new K-5 along with the Kit lens (got a pair of M lenses yet to try). I decided to go Pentax because of the weather sealed and solid construction body, noise handling and ergonomics. I do not know anyone here who uses Pentax, Whats more, the guy who brought it form USA said to me "Are you sure you want this? because nobody buys Pentax and I won´t sell it if not to you".

I am used to shoot with a film camera Canon AE-1 Program.


I am kind of concerned because of the price increase in Pentax Lenses. I was really tempted by the limiteds but now they are quite unreachable to me.
I am actually thinking of selling the camera..

I am planning to get the DA 40mm as soon as it is available in the USA.
