Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone

Another new K100D owner here and about as thrilled as a 7 years old on Christmas morning. I'm very new to the dSLR world, this is my first and I'm eagerly learning.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello. Now I must peel my but off this chair and take a walk with my new camera. Hopefully I'll have something to share with you later.

Cheers.
V.

You might want to get together with Randy (Slipchuck) and go on some shoots together as he is in your neck of the woods. Welcome.

Welcome to the forum, Photochop!

I've noticed a few people from GTA area on board. Increative is a newer member, just don't know exactly from whereabouts in the GTA. Slipchuck is from Midland. I'm from Mississauga.

BTW, don't ask about the late hour of my post. You'll see me online at any given hour.

Cheers!

Thanks Alvin!

I also noticed that there seems to be a lot of GTA Pentax owners, and they're all super friendly too! It's kinda fun walking past another Pentax owner and giving each other the nod in appreciation for our gear, I never experienced that with my Sony. It's like a secret Pentax Clan! LOL.

Thanks for the warm welcome Alvin, Happy New Year!

Hi Photochop:

Have fun with the camera. That is what it is for :-)

I only got the 50-200 yesterday, so I don't have anything else on my list - at the moment.

Hi SpecialK, sorry for the late reply...I completely missed this thread!

Yeah, I'm definitely having fun with this camera. It's my first dSLR and I haven't got any complaints so far.

You'll be really pleased with the 50-200, to my eye it's very sharp.

Cheers!

Yep, nice image, and about half the bulk as Sigmund (70-300).

Yeah, I decided to look around today and that raincoat dog made me laugh. Great Eaton Centre photo too. I'd like to see more of this and some tips on how to "photochop".

Thanks Randy I'm feeling very flattered right about now. Yeah I'd love to get together with some photographers in Toronto. I've been checking out some of the events over at TMPG and there's quite a few events coming up...are you part of that group too?

Cheers!
