I am on my second year with my K-x which to date has been excellent. Problem is last weekend when shooting the mirror stuck up for about 5 seconds a few times and the result was a few completely overexposed frames. When I got home I changed the ISO setting to auto and all seemed OK. I should say the problem was in TV,AV,Auto and manual modes.Today I took the camera out and the problem occurred for about 5 shots and after I messed about with various settings it seemed OK and at the moment it seems all right. I really don't know what is going on. Have I solved the problem by putting it on auto ISO or is there a fault ?and if so why did it occur during the week while my camera was unused and in the case.I did use the camera for right up until last week obviously being a bit new to DSLRs I had no such problems then although I do not recall changing the ISO settings.So can anyone help as I am going on vacation shortly and if it needs a repair( which I don't think is the case) I should be doing it sooner rather than later.

Welcome to the forum, it may pay to ask your question in the Pentax Beginners Corner to get answers. In my opinion, if the camera is still under warranty I'd send it in for a check over.

Thanks for that. I have had the camera for 16 months so it is out of warranty. I have also lost the receipt.The only repair site I can find seems to want around £90 for a fixed price check so I could end up paying and then find it is something I was doing that caused this.I will check out the Beginners Corner anyway.
