a little bit about me

Hello, I'm from Montréal, Québec and enjoying photography since a couple of years. I jumped with Pentax 3 weeks ago and I'm really happy with my choice. My new K-5 is astounding but I have so many things to learn with it. My only lens for now is the 18-55 WR but looking at the macro 100 WR.

Welcome from Toronto (or thereabouts). Ended up with a K-5 a bit by chance, and have not regretted it for a moment. The 18-55 is a good lens (for a slow kit lens), and I keep hearing how it is better than the kit lenses you get from other camera makers. Worth spending some time with it before your next purchase, but the 100WR is a good one from what I've read. I've gone on a second hand lens buying spree that has kept me busy enough, including some extension tubes as an alternate way to shoot macro.

Welcome from Longueuil. K-x user here for about a year and a half. I've learned so much about my camera and photography from this forum. I'm sure you will too.
